I love Facebook – on Facebook you are free to say what you want and mostly what you say, is true…here is a friend of mine’s political view and you know, his view does ring true…
“The Business of Politics”
I don’t like politics! There, I’ve said it. I personally have not met, or heard a politician I felt truly had my welfare as his or her number one priority. I don’t vote parties, because that removes the true opinion of the individual. Politicians are always going to cut our taxes. That hasn’t happened, plus our roads and infrastructures are crumbling. They are all for higher, better education. Yet we’re laying off teachers and increasing class sizes. The irony of our education rings out especially in a candidate that says he will decrease our class sizes, and hire more teachers when, just a few years ago he was saying teachers needed cuts in pay.
Will Rogers once said, “Always vote for the incumbent. Why ruin another good man.”
I’m just sayin’, I don’t like politics!
And there is Politics for you, frank and to the point – Thank You for saying what all of us really and truly want to say but don’t…

Very good statement. I am in agreement, especially on politicians being self serving rather than public servants. Nothing any of them, of any party, can say will restore the public trust. It’s time to serve the people, not the party or special interest.

AMEN! i’m not entirely sure who said it (Albert Einstein?), i heard a sentiment i liked: NEVER vote for the incumbent. that way there is always new blood and no one gets too power crazy. i have to admit, i really like your voting quote too.
i am so sick of people lying flat out to everyone! you know a vote is just like when a board hires you for a job. if you don’t do your job, the board gets to fire you. i think if we did a 90 day evaluation vote, people would be more likely to keep their “promises.” feasibility would be an issue though.
