Not that this is the food channel or that I’m a food critic by any means, but I’d like to make brief mention of a new eating establishment here in Pickens County, Georgia, worth checking out. Given our sad lack of stellar restaurants here in Jasper, Georgia at which to eat, it is always welcome to see a new restaurant enter the scene that holds promise of better things to come. The restaurant in question — Ably Asian Cuisine — is tucked away on Noah Drive in the Jasper Mountain Highlands shopping center, across from Home Depot. Ably Asian Cuisine offers a mix of Chinese and Thai food at reasonable prices, and while I’ve tried only a couple of their dishes, I found the samplings to be rich and flavorful, and worth another taste. In particular, the Hot and Sour soup (a personal addiction) was of a superior quality to many other Chinese restaurants I’ve tried throughout North Georgia. The menu offers few surprises, but they do offer a vegeterian selection, and for several basic recipes you get your choice of meat, rather than the typical single option. Atmosphere and decor are pleasant if unremarkable, but for a quick, well-prepared meal without blaring TV’s or loud music, this one has potential. Best dining experience in Jasper Ably Asian Cuisine is not your average neighborhood Chinese restaurant. While the prices are what you’d expect from the corner restaurant, the dining experience is comparble to an upscale restaurant in a large city. This restaurant is new — and the facility is impressive. From the outside you don’t expect much (it’s located in a new strip mall), but on entering the restaurant you’ll be impressed. The restaurant has a chic,modern atmosphere. I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt — after walking inside I felt like I should have put on nice pants and a dress shirt. Great food, great service — more than what you’d expect in a small town strip mall. Excellent Chinese and Thai. Worth a try.Excellent food. We usually go once a week and I try a new dish almost every visit. Haven’t been disappointed yet. We’re from closer into Atlanta and would choose this food over most intown Asian restaurants. Everything is fresh looking and flavorful. Staff is friendly and efficient. Decor is not your usual dragons and fish tanks, either. This place has some great food! Everytime I’m in Jasper, I generally stop by for either lunch, or dinner. The staff there is great and I felt welcomed each time I ate there.
If you haven’t tried their food, I’d encourage you all to go out and taste for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!

Ignore the dull strip center where Ably’s is located because the inside is
a nice surprise. The decor is cool and calming, and there’s no loud music
blasting away. The menu offers selections representing a variety of Asian cuisines, and everything our family has sampled is outstanding. Dinner
prices are somewhat high but we think the food, atmosphere and service are worth every penny. We go back and forth between Jasper and Atlanta rank this place right up there with some of our city favorites.

Hi Cliff, I don’t know if you had a chance or not but I’ve done a couple of more articles on Ably Asian Cuisine on their Sushi Bar…makes me want to go up there for Sushi!!! Thanks for your comment.
