Hello All- I received this information below via email and thought it was so informative, that I would pass it along.

—————————————————————————–

Below is from Pact Officer, Chris Massey. They have had an increase in car break-ins with school out, so we are passing on his info.

Hi Linda,

Hey, just wanted to send you an e-mail to let you and your neighbors know not to leave valuables in your vehicles over night. We have had a lot of entering autos lately. If you have vehicles that are left outside the garage, the garage door opener needs to be taken out of the vehicle. If your vehicle gets broken into, they now have the means to easily enter your home.

Thanks,

Officer Massey

PS Be aware of your surroundings, keep bushes trimmed, have good lighting and if it doesn’t feel right it probably isn’t. It is always better to be safe then sorry, so if in doubt, be sure to call the police. If not an emergency, just call the non emergency number and we’ll have a car ride by.

Also, remember, if you are going on vacation, the police can do a vacation house check. Just call them, I believe you have to fill out a form and they will check your house while you are gone.
