Just out Grandview Road, from Cove Road, you will find the entrance to Dig-It Farms, directly across from the back entrance to Bent Tree. Their hours of operation for their produce stand is Wednesday through Friday from 3pm to 7pm and on Saturday from 8am to 6pm.
Owned and operated by Kip and Michelle Foster, and their sons, Dakota and Nolyn, they have three fenced gardens and a green house (which was hit by the tornado back in April) and abut 80 hens! Their produce is organically grown and they have corn, tomatoes, watermelon, peaches, blueberries, cantalope, several varieties of squash, broccoli rabe (pronounced Broccoli Rob), potatoes…just about anything you would want in fresh produce, they have! Michelle also makes home made blueberry zucchini bread and salsa. If you are interested in either, you will have to get there early because these wonderful items sell out fast! (Of course, the next time you visit Dig-It Farms, ask Michelle when she is planning to make her blueberry zucchini bread or home made salsa – then place your order).
They also supply 61 Main with their fresh produce and make two deliveries there per week.
Michelle and her husband, Kip and their boys stay busy keeping Jasper and Pickens County in fresh, organically grown produce.
Be sure to check them out the next time you are looking for fresh produce – you will be glad that you visited Dig-It Farms!
Thank you for what you do!
