On Saturday, I had a very busy day – I got up early to be at the PHS 2010 Graduation. How sweet and sad at the same time. My son graduated last year and it is amazing how quickly times goes by.
After the graduation, I went to the Jasper Farmers Market as my sister, Tona, had a table set up where she was promoting her Tee Shirts and her plants that she has ‘lovingly’ grown. Tona has a store right here in Jasper called Tona’s Tees and Gifts located at 908 Old Philadelphia Road, # 6, behind the new Wal-Mart. If you have a minute, go by and check out her store.
We also have a home inspection company called Southern Home Inspection Services that serves the entire Metro Atlanta area and North Georgia. While at the Farmers Market, one of our very good agents stopped in to see Tona and I got to meet her. Sandy Bartow is an agent with Prudential Georgia Realty and has been a wonderful referring agent to Southern Home Inspection Services for a very long time. We were excited to meet Sandy and truly appreciated her visiting our neck of the woods…
Saturday was also my husband’s birthday and we decided to have dinner up in Ellijay and try out the restaurant, Il Fornos on the recommendation of another good agent, Kacy Lewis of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokers in Roswell. Kacy also owns a second home in Big Canoe and has really learned our area of North Georgia and she even knows the people who own Il Fornos. She says their seafood is delicious. Ken and I went to dinner and had the best meal along with the great ambiance – wonderful entertainment by a gentleman who played the piano for us. Made me wish that we still had the Baby Grand…What a great birthday dinner.
Here are some pictures that I took of the different vendors at the Jasper Farmers Market, we have some really great vendors who make it to the Market every week with their products and produce. I cannot wait til next Saturday to get up to the Market early and get some tomatoe plants and I’ve even asked Zach White to save me a nice Red Angelwing Begonia… I truly love to visit the market as I know the plants, shrubs and produce are top notch and it is definitely a place to meet new people and socialize…which I love to do.
