Today I met my son Ken and we went to the Jaspers Farmers Market to check it out. What a beautiful morning it was to be out and about.

It was about 10am and the market was full of vendors and customers looking for some fresh vegetables, fruit and anything else that they could find.

I first came upon the judging for the longest squash contest…

and this year’s winner was also last year’s winner – Ralph Colombarini, Sr. breaking his record from last year by a couple of inches…

I also met a young girl named Destiny, who is on her way to being an entrepreneur – she was selling ‘button bracelets’ that she made herself. She explained how he made the button bracelets. She chose the desired buttons, put the big button on first, then made sure it was centered with the length of the bracelet string, then she added the smaller buttons. She was very proud of her button bracelets and definitely has a great business going on and I can see her really being something one day!

She chose her most favorite button bracelet, which I purchased! Thank You Destiny!

My son and I walked around the Jasper Farmers Market a couple of times before leaving to drive to Canton to the bank. I definitely love all the things about our Market. You can’t beat home grown and home made!!!
