Beth Coberly and Mary Ann Manzel
Did you know that there was a Memorial Garden right here in Pickens County? Yes, at the Chamber of Commerce grounds, there is a Memorial Gardens that was started about 7 years ago to honor and remember loved one and others here in Pickens County. Give credit where credit is due, and that goes to Mary Ann Manzel and Keep Pickens Beautiful.
Have you ever been to the track at the Chamber of Commerce? People walk on the track every day when the weather is nice. Have you noticed the small creek running between the Chamber of Commerce building and the track? There is a small bridge that you can walk across from the Chamber building to get to the track. Have you noticed the Pavilion and concrete picnic tables just to the side of the Chamber building? People gather there to have picnics and different social events. This is the area where the Memorial Gardens are. To read more, click here Memorial Gardens at the Chamber of Commerce

Great article Beth. The garden is a great way to appreciate the living and honor those that have passed on. I know Al would smile at the birdhouse installed in his memory. KPB would like to continue the beautification at the park. Thanks!
