Just wanted to let each and every one of you who attended our 3-Day Workshop in Jasper know we truly appreciate your kind words about the workshop. It was our pleasure to have you here in our little town of Jasper! Please know that we worked hard to make the workshop a success but we had many people who helped us make it a success, and I hope that I don’t forget anyone…Ken Darwin, Gail and the entire staff from Microtel Inn and Suites of Jasper, they made the hotel rooms very comfortable and affordable. Lori at Appalachian Technical College, where we held the workshop. Lori helped to make everything go smoothly the entire time we were there, from the snacks and drinks in the am and pm, to the equipment and general overall helpfulness when we needed something. Kudos to Lori! Kelly from Kelly’s Cuisine. Kelly was a big hit with the hors d’oeuvres each evening. Her presentation was barr none and she took great pride in making sure each of us was happy & full! William of Bubba Q, who served lunch for us the first day! Good Ole’ Southern Bar B Que! and Bubba was 3rd Runner Up in the Jack Daniel’s BarBQ cook off where it is by invitation only. Kelly of course served lunch for us on Friday and it was again, out of this world. Everything was was tasty and yum! Dinner at the Woodbridge Inn… Now who could forget that!!! Joe outdid himself and his staff was wonderful and patient, taking care of 89 hungry workshop participants. And the ride to and from the Woodbridge Inn was a breeze with North Georgia Limo Service. No worries about a drink or two before going to the Woodbridge Inn or if you had a couple at the Woodbridge Inn…Then on Saturday for lunch at the workshop, it was served by CK and his staff from Ably Asian Cuisine. We love their food and they put it out on the table in style. You had to be in the front of the line though, because it definitely was a Big Hit! And who could forget our attentive bartender, Mike?
I must say, I was totally impressed with Mike. He kept everyone happy!!! He learned each of us very quickly and when he saw us coming to the bar, he already knew what we were going to ask for and started pouring or getting it right away. He was great and such a good guy. No one will forget the ‘tent’ blowing away in the middle of the night. I know I won’t because I am the one who answered the call from the front desk at 3am saying, Mrs. Compton, the tent has blown away! Kevin and I went out to survey the damages in the wind and cold. I finally said, let’s go back in and wait until the morning to deal with this…But Party Time Rentals , they were wonderful and while we were in the workshop on Friday, they got out to the hotel and got the tent back up and operational so that we didn’t miss a thing!
Thank you all for coming to the workshop. And I truly thank all who helped us make this 2008 workshop a great success!!! Beth & Ken Compton
PS Can’t wait to see what will happen next year!!! Be Sure that You’re There!!!
