We just launched the beta version of Pickens Living Online. This is a facebook-like, social networking site where citizens, churches and other non-profits and (eventually) businesses can come, connect and share all things Pickens County. It is completely local, interactive and (for personal or non-profit profiles) free.
The site has been up and running just a few short weeks, and we’re adding new content every day and you can too. Right now, we’re getting the word out to the Pickens County community and posting current local content.
As a member to Pickens Living Online, you can post your photos, videos, and status updates, as well as check out our list of local events (which we encourage you to add to also), and read our news & happenings page for articles on local topics, including a people’s spotlight, a business highlight, local events, and food reviews. Coming soon are a groups page for clubs and non-profits and a business directory along with advertising opportunities for local businesses. Be sure to check back often as we are very close to getting this advertising part of the site up and going.
