We are in Charlotte, NC for our 3 day planning session with two of our business partners. Charlotte is a beautiful city with a lot of city activities, but while in our ’3 day planning session’, we have not been able to get out and enjoy the city. Each evening though, we have gotten out in the city to enjoy a great dinner.
Our first evening, we went to Ruby Tuesday’s and had their Ribs and good drinks. Our second evening, we dinned at Ole’ Charley’s and had their Prime Rib and tonight, we went to an authentic Italian Restaurant, Portofino’s Restaurant & Pizzeria. This was definitely our best dinner by far.

Portofino is known for their special Martinis and tonight, I ordered the Ecstasy Martini!!! Oh my! But I only drank one…and with our dinner, we had a red Italian wine, Enzo DiSette Rue.
This evening, Portonfino had several specials; more than the normal. I love seafood and Italian food, so I ordered one of the specials which was Grilled Mahi Mahi.
With the Grilled Mahi Mahi included was Clams, Mussles, Shrimp, Spinach and Asparagus. Yum – Yum!
For dessert, our group tried Spumoni, Tiramisu and Italian Rum Wedding Cake. We had to ‘waddle’ out of the Portogino Restaurant…
