Mark your calendar for the 2nd Saturday in November, November 14th and come and enjoy The Taste of Pickens at the Chattahoochee Technical College’s Appalachian Tech campus.

Doors will open at 11am and will serve Pickens County’s finest until 2:30pm. For just $10.00 per ticket, you can enjoy up to eight entrees, appetizers or desserts – Enjoy specialty dishes offered by Pickens County’s wonderful restaurants and caterers. Thanks goes to Kroger, who for the fourth year, will generously donate soft drinks and bottled water and the booth will be manned by General Manager, Jeff Munger.

It is because of that kind of generosity that Pickens’ local food pantry, C.A.R.E.S. benefits so greatly. Run almost entirely by volunteers, this Pickens County organization uses the money earned to feed the hungry and to offer financial assistance to keep the power or heat turned on or to avoid eviction.

With ample parking, comfortable seating, all weather comfort and handicapped access, you can bring the whole family and take part in what is shaping up to be the most successful event in Taste of Pickens’ four-year history!

Get your tickets early to assure admission and the widest selection. The list is growing but advance tickets can be found at Jasper Banking Company, Community Bank of Pickens County, Bank of North Georgia, Crescent Bank, Chestatee Bank, Kroger, Deb’s Bakery, Carriage House and C.A.R.E.S.

The list of restaurants, bakeries and caterers is growing and has many old favorites returning and the newcomers to Pickesn County are eager to offer samples of their signature selection.
