THE PICKENS ANIMAL RESCUE FUR BALL

Mark your calendar for an evening of feeling good while supporting something good. The fifth annual Pickens Animal Rescue (PAR) Fur Ball will be at the Chattahoochee Technical College on Burnt Mountain Road on November 5, 2011 from 6:30 to 10:30 PM.
Come enjoy the exquisite cuisine of Coast2Coast Catering (owned by the founders of Madeline’s Restaurant), with complimentary beverages, get an early start on your holiday shopping or bid on a week at a vacation getaway at the Silent Auction, dance the night away with DJ Jesse Giles, and take a chance on winning a jackpot in the Heads and Tails Bead Game. Alvin Stewart Photography will also be available to take your portrait. Dress up or come business casual and join your animal loving friends and neighbors in learning about the amazing rescue work PAR Volunteers do every day for needy Pickens homeless pets.
Your ticket and Silent Auction purchase supports the work at PAR. PAR provides both a spay/neutering assistance program for families with financial needs and complete pet care that includes vaccinations, worming, flea/tick treatment, AVID microchips, and spay/neutering for all the dogs and cats that stay at the PAR Ranch waiting for foster or forever homes. Equally important is the joy and enrichment PAR is able to give to families, seniors, people living alone, disabled individuals and children by matching them with a new four legged family member that will give them laughter, love, and companionship.
You may also help support this valuable work by making donations to and shopping at the PAR Rescue Thrift Store at 371 N. Main, donating items to the Fur Ball Silent Auction, supporting the PAWS on Main after hour Veterinarian Clinic, making cash donations to PAR at either of these locations, or volunteering at one of the PAR events. The Fur Ball theme this year is “Finding FurEver Homes” and pets that have found their forever homes will be featured. You may see a pet you know on the big screen, so watch closely.
Hurry to get special discounted tickets at $65 each, seating is limited! You may purchase tickets at the PAR Thrift Store and PAWS on Main (both at 371 N Main), Junktiques, Madeline’s Bakery, Burnt Mtn. Trading Co., Community Bank of Pickens Co., Jasper and Foothills Dental Associates or online through the website www.pickensfurball.org.
