November 2011

Monday, November 28, 2011 – Festival of Trees Children’s Program at the Pickens County Public Library. 6pm. Children are invited to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season with a special storytime and ornament craft at 6pm. Please contact the library for more information 706-692-5411

At 7pm, the whole family is invited to enjoy traditional and no-so-traditional holiday entertainment. Light refreshments will be provided by the Pickens Ferest Fountation for Childhood Literacy.

Monday, November 28 through December 28, 2011 – Festival of Tree, Pickens County Public Library. Decorated trees from community organizations and businesses.

Wednesday, November 30, 2011 – Love Light Tree Ceremony at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. Starts at 5:30pm. Piedmont Mountainside Hospital Auxiliary will host its annual Love Light Tree Ceremony in the hospital main lobby starting at 5:30pm. The ceremony, which is open to the public, will feature a beautiful living tree that was planted in a permanent location in front of the hospital last year. The Jasper Young Singers will perform and Santa will make his entrance to light the tree. After the lighting ceremony, children are invited to the cafeterial for light refreshments of cookies and hot cocoa.
