The other day I was on my way to Roswell for a couple of realtor meetings. Roswell from Jasper is about 1 hour, give or take, in which there is plenty of time to think about what is going on, and of course, this is what I did…I was reflecting on how very Thankful we were in our business. Even though 2008 was a very volatile year for real estate, we did okay. I think back on those who helped us in our business to make us Thankful, the ones who called upon us when they needed a home inspection, the ones who called us when they needed ‘expertise’ advice to a real estate question, the ones who replied to our Thank You. The ones who are still out there hitting the pavement every day, making things happen, you are the ones that we are Thankful to as you are the ones who are still out there making things happen…you are doing it!

While on my way to Roswell and thinking about how Thankful we were, I thought about the thousands of Realtors we are involved with day in and day out, and I want to say, Thank You to each and every one of you.

But, I also wanted to give back to my Community. To help a family who was in need this year. I did not know who to contact to do this so I asked a friend of mine to give me direction, and she did. She gave me the names of a couple of groups right here in Jasper who had families in need. We ended up sponsoring a family, right here in Jasper, with the hope that they would be able to enjoy their Christmas.

I met with Connie at the radio station WYYZ in Jasper and presented her with a check for a family that lives in Jasper. Connie will meet with the family and give them the check. We made a small donation from Southern Home Inspection Services to help this family with their Christmas dinner and maybe some toys. Even though I did not meet the family, I hope that we, Southern Home Inspection Services, helped to make their Christmas a little more enjoyable this Holiday Season.
