Thursday, September 11th – We had a committment in Dallas, Texas which had been scheduled for almost 2 months. Never, ever thinking a Hurricane like IKE would make his roaring presence. In Jasper, we watched the weather and news on Tuesday, wondering if we should try to cancel our trip, knowing we would lose a lot…airline flights for 2, hotel, car rental, etc. So we decided to go ahead and make our trip, hoping that Ike would not take a turn and head northeast…but they say he will. On Thursday, he decided to take a turn and head toward Houston, Texas and now they are saying, the overall effect of Ike could reach Dallas, Texas, where we are!!! YIKES!
