The Orange Walls was born in 2009 when guitarist and vocalist Randy Dobson and harmonica player Daniel Johnson took the stage at their high school talent show. With just 20 minutes of rehearsal, they delivered a standout performance that sparked their passion for music and set them on the path to a lasting collaboration.
After high school, Randy and Daniel pursued their musical aspirations at Reinhardt University, where they studied as music majors. Performing as a duo, they honed their craft, expanded their repertoire, and deepened their understanding of music. Their time at the university reinforced their commitment to a professional career in the industry.
Eager to elevate their sound, the duo expanded into a full band after graduation. They welcomed longtime friend and bassist Frankie Sparks, fellow Reinhardt alumnus and drummer Stephen Clark, officially forming The Orange Walls. This lineup infused their music with new depth and energy, blending various influences into a dynamic and cohesive sound.
As the lead guitarist and vocalist, Randy brings a mix of technical precision and heartfelt performance, driving the band’s creative direction. Daniel’s harmonica mastery gives their music a signature touch, weaving soulful melodies through their rock, country, and blues fusion. With Frankie’s rhythmic bass lines and Stephen’s powerful drumming, the band delivers electrifying live performances that captivate audiences.
